Card Reader For Card Storing With USB Drive By Peng Qixuan

I dont own many memory cards and have just one functional card reader for my Kodaks memory chip. However, I know people who carry plenty of memory cards in their cute little card storage boxes. show offs! Yea I know you own many gadgets, click many pictures, store loads of data! Anyways, as I was saying; just having cards is not enough, you need to compliment it with a Card Reader. To cut the entire process by one step, Peng Qixuan has designed a multi cardholder that incorporates a USB stick. What a functional idea!

One Makes Another By Yuyu Kurata

One Makes Another By Yuyu Kurata

This project goes by the name “One Makes Another” and it takes one candle, a spool of string, and a little bit of metal. Bam! Infinite candle. Right? Sort of. Designer Yuya Kurata describes this project as a candle holder which makes another candle underneath as it melts, but one that isn’t quite complete. The concept is here, the candle isn’t quite ready for it. Because candles do not gutter as much as would be necessary, a slightly distorted candle is made. However! One Make Another does sort of work. It’s nearly there. All they’d need is a different candle consistency and a little bit of the ol’ modification of physics!

Take a peek. See how the candle creates itself? Kinda sorta awesome. Now we just gotta figure out how to make sure ALL of the wax goes into the next candle and how to make that string regenerate as well. Possible? Maybe not. Is this project awesome anyway? Yes. All attempts at infinite energy deserve a high-five for effort.

Origine Du Monde Maybe By Italo Rota

Origine Du Monde Maybe By Italo Rota

Let me tell you how much Memory Foam this particular chair (part of a chair and table set) employs. Three layers. You could sit on this chair so much that one layer was wrecked and you’d still have 2 left! And it’s super cute and comes in either pink or pink and green. It’s called the “Origine Du Monde, Maybe!” Which in English means “Origin of the World, Maybe!” A totally wild title for a totally wild set of furniture by designer Italo Rota.

I simply must share with you the description of these items as provided to us by Rota. It acts as sort of a manifesto for what would otherwise just be a vibrant seat and table set.

Rota writes:

A positive and/or negative seating, uterine and sensual, the last room before seeing the world in which well live in, first and only form which will accompany us in life.

Three layers of Memory Foam remind us the maternal projection, to rest, to remember, to imagine the future: at the end, imagining future is no more than think about the time thats left us to live.

A modest small table, masculine, more and more not necessary but for now indissociable, to let one of us sit on this chair.

A couple of objects for adults.

Stellar! It’s always refreshing to see someone put so much thought into the meaning behind or inside the objects they create. These objects are made up of the following things: Seat – holding base in thermoplastic rigid material in painted finishing, padded in flexible polyurethane, base made of polished aluminum. The table is glossy lacquered wood with the lamp rod made of polished stainless steel and LED lighting.

B-chain Lamp By Cho Hyung Suk

B-chain Lamp By Cho Hyung Suk

Designer Cho Hyung Suk has an affinity for bicycle chains – for their utilitarian function and seemingly beauty. The B-Chain Lamp spins the bike chain into a new kind of object, one that is rigid enough to pose a light into various positions. There’s something oddly anthropomorphic about this design – maybe because it halfway reminds me of the Pixar Lamp.

Size: 230*170*220(H)
Materials: birchplywood, marble, hardware

Metro USB Clip By Ren Woo-Ram Lee

Although I find hanging my USB stick around my neck quite alright, I wouldnt mind if it came as a clip-on. Something that looked like this Metro USB Clip would be perfect; slip it securely on a pocket. The added advantage of auto backup on second drive, sliding feature and color changeable shells, transforms it from a regular stick to something different.
