Valcucine New Logica System Kitchen By Gabriele Centazzo

Valcucine New Logica System Kitchen By Gabriele Centazzo

Everything on hand, everything tidy in an instant.

This is the mantra behind the newly developed Logica System Kitchen. The back of the layout contains and conceals all the kitchen equipments at whim. The scratch resistance worktop is treated with nanotechnology & the SMEG hob can be camouflaged by using the same glass employed for the worktop. When the cooking is done, the system’s numerous features (and leftover mess) are easily hidden behind the pull-down hood.

The equipments in the kitchen include: the dish-drainer, weighing scales, small appliances, removable cooking receptacles, bottle-racks, power sockets, a monitor, a kitchen roll holder, the tap, hooks for utensils and even a cooker hood.

Kit – Cub Kitchen Concept By Paul Mauduit

Kit - Cub Kitchen Concept By Paul Mauduit

The Kit – Cub Kitchen is a very well thought-out plan and covers almost all the basic requirements of a kitchen space. It adopts the cubicle form and houses a fridge, microwave, sink, cutting table, modular storage cabinets, garbage bin and an electrical cooking top. Whats unique about the cabinets is that just below the sink are 2 dedicated as water tanks, one that feeds the sink and the other to collect the gray water. Now if we are careful in using green products for cleaning the dishes, Im sure the water can be recycled to good use. Tedious labor but very rewarding!

What makes this modular kitchen effective is the choice of materials in its construction: aluminum and wood. Durable and easy to maintain, the two cubes can either be placed as a traditional straight seamless counter, or given an elective bend. Whatever suits your home!

Pure System Sanitizer For Kitchen Cutting Board And Dishcloth By Chang Shin Gwak

Pure System Sanitizer For Kitchen Cutting Board And Dishcloth By Chang Shin Gwak

So what is your cleaning routine for dishcloths and kitchen cutting boards? Mine is this: for the cutting board, I scrub it clean with an ordinary dish-soap and every now and then I boil the dishcloth in soap + disinfectant water. I follow this routine for the lack of sterilizing aids in India, plus we are the lazy sortswe have house helps to do most of this stuff. But on this global forum, Im becoming more aware of the hazards of not having a good sanitizing routine. If I were to pick one, Id use this convenient Pure System that sanitizes the cloth and board; in one go.

Although not specified by the designer, I am assuming it uses a UV system and maybe some washing techniques as well. I like its wall mount orientation, can have it hanging next to the water filter system that I have.

Electrolux Kitchen Hideaway Concept By Daniel Dobrogorsky

Electrolux Kitchen Hideaway Concept By Daniel Dobrogorsky

The Kitchen Hideaway is a peep into what food prep might be like in the future. A helmet and viewport allow you to image what it is you want to eat in your own virtual kitchen. Gone are the large appliances replaced by efficient robots that serve every gluttonous desire. You have to actually know how to cook the dish. The robots are only mimicking your technique. The technology is so life-like, it’s indistinguishable from the real thing. This is the Jetsons people. Even George would be jealous.

The Kitchen Hideaway is an Electrolux Design Lab 2010 Finalist

Electrolux Elements Modular Kitchen By Mathew Gilbride

Electrolux Elements Modular Kitchen By Mathew Gilbride

Modular kitchens of the future seem to have the basics in place but little can be said about the supporting technology. For example the Elements Modular Kitchen has wall mounted appliances that range from fridge, air-conditioner, lighting and cooking modules. You can add or choose the modules that are best suited for your home. Each unit works independently but can be seamlessly work together via wireless smart networking. They draw power (wirelessly) thru powermat technology applied to the wall, and this is supplemented with solar energy when required.

Like I said, the basic intention is quite in the correct place, but I dunno if I can say the same for supporting tech.

The Electrolux Elements is a part of the shortlisted entries for the Electrolux Design Lab 2010.
